Sand Studies Commissioner Working Group

The purpose of the Sand Studies Commissioner Working Group is to provide the Commissioners an opportunity to carefully examine the recently developed scientific findings regarding San Francisco Bay’s sand system and consider how this new information should be applied to projects that may affect this system. Further, it will provide an opportunity to more fully examine San Francisco Bay Plan policies that require an understanding of the best available science when considering application of these policies, and provide leadership on this issue to the broader Commission.
