June 26, 2019 Enforcement Committee Meeting Summary

Four members of the Enforcement Committee attended the June 26, 2019 BCDC Enforcement Committee meeting, which was held at the Elihu M. Harris State Office Building located at 1515 Clay Street, Oakland. In summary, the Committee received a briefing on the State Auditor’s recommendations for the enforcement program, discussed the new bi-weekly Enforcement Committee meeting schedule, and was briefed by staff on the proposed agenda for each Enforcement Committee meeting through December 12, 2019. The next meeting will be held from 10 AM to 12:30 PM on July 11, 2019 at the Bay Area Metro Center located at 375 Beale Street, San Francisco. Staff will present the Committee with examples of administrative penalty policies from other regulatory agencies in the first of a series of discussions on the State Auditor’s recommendation to the Commission to create a penalty calculation worksheet and guidance on applying the worksheet. The public is invited to attend. A public comment period will be held at the beginning of the meeting where members of the public may speak on any issue that is not on the agenda for that day.
