December 13, 2018 Enforcement Committee Meeting Summary
Four members of the Enforcement Committee attended the December 13, 2018, BCDC Enforcement Committee meeting, which was held at the Bay Area Metro Center located at 375 Beale Street, San Francisco.
The Committee received its third briefing on development of an enforcement strategy to set enforcement priorities, improve compliance, and use resources more efficiently. The presentation focused on case disposition, data management to improve violation discovery and cataloguing, and amnesty options to reduce the backlog. On February 21, 2018, the Enforcement Committee may hold a public hearing and vote on a recommended enforcement decision including adoption of proposed Cease and Desist and Civil Penalty Order No. CDO 2019.01 for alleged dredging violations of the McAteer-Petris Act by the Salt River Construction Company in in Richardson’s Bay in Marin County and in and around Belmont Slough located in Foster City, San Mateo County.
