March 16, 2017 Commission Meeting Summary
Commissioners, Alternates, Members of the Public, and Staff:
17 members attended the March 16, 2017 BCDC meeting, which was held at the Metro Center Regional Headquarters Building in San Francisco.
After approving the minutes of the March 2, 2017 meeting and reviewing the Administrative Listing, the meeting was adjourned so that Commissioners, staff, and the public could engage in a public workshop entitled “Projects on Parade,” a review of several rising sea level adaptation projects around the Bay.
The next Commission meeting will be held at the Metro Center in San Francisco on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Possible agenda items include:
A closed session on pending litigation against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers;
A public hearing and possible vote on the Enforcement Committee’s recommendation regarding the Scott’s enforcement matter;
A discussion about and possible votes to on, pending legislation in the State Legislature;
An update on BCDC’s Strategic Plan progress;
A possible briefing by staff of the Port of San Francisco on its waterfront planning process; and,
A possible briefing by BCDC staff on the Policies for a Rising Bay project.
BCDC will hold a New Commissioner Orientation prior to its April 20th Commission meeting. The Orientation will be held at the Metro Center, will be open to all Commissioners, Alternates, and the public, and can be used as either an orientation or as a “refresher course.”
The April 20th meeting, like today’s meeting, will be very short and will be followed by the first workshop in which participants will analyze and discuss issues surrounding BCDC’s Bay fill policies.
All Commissioners and Alternates should ensure that they file their FPPC Form 700 documents no later than April 3, 2017.
