Tentative Agenda

  1. Roll Call, Introductions and Approval of Agenda
    BCDC staff will call the roll; Chair Nelson will solicit introductions from visitors and staff.  Working Group approval of the Agenda.

  2. Approval of the December 15, 2016 Meeting Summary
    The Working Group will consider approval of staff’s draft Meeting Summary of the Working Group’s December meeting.

  3. Green to Gray Infrastructure Follow Up Policy Discussion
    The Working Group will continue their discussion regarding the policy implications of projects proposing fill that includes both nature based and more traditional built infrastructure in their efforts to adapt to rising Bay waters.

  4. Regional Transportation
    Commissioner Dan McElhinney, representing Caltrans, will present to the Working Group Caltrans’ strategy to adapt the Bay Area’s transportation system to climate change, and the challenges and opportunities presented. The Working Group will review and discuss existing Bay Plan policies that address this issue.

  5. Full Commission Workshop Development Discussion
    The Working Group will discuss potential workshop format options for upcoming full Commission workshops regarding Bay fill policies.

Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act. As a state agency, the Commission is governed by the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act which requires the Commission to (1) publish an agenda at least ten days in advance of any meeting; (2) describe specifically in that agenda the items to be transacted or discussed; and (3) refuse to add an item subsequent to the published agenda. In addition to these general requirements the Bagley-Keene Act includes other specific provisions about how meetings are to be announced and conducted.
